After a Sudoku online has been solved, you get an overview of how long it took you, how often you checked and how often which solution aids were used and various buttons to share the result on social media or send it via Messenger.
The Sudoku online result is displayed as an image on social media and encoded in a link so that it can no longer be manipulated, here is an example of how it looks on facebook:
How do I join a Sudoku competition? ↥
Once someone has shared a result on social media, anyone else can click on it and solve the same Sudoku. The time given and which solving aids were used how often are then displayed in square brackets. After solving, the result can also be shared or sent to compare the results.
Of course, several Sudoku fans can also arrange to meet at a certain time, one of them then choose a Sudoku and the others start solving it directly, whoever is finished shares their result. This gives you a little more control over whether someone is cheating, if someone shares a 4-minute result after 20 minutes, there is a suspicion that they have tried several times.
Is the Sudoku competition mode cheat-proof? ↥
The shared result is tamper-proof, it is displayed as an image and the result is also encrypted in a link. But of course, whether a Sudoku player has used external aids or a printed solution when sitting alone in front of his PC cannot be monitored by the system.
If you want to prevent cheating in the competition, all participants would have to be monitored by a neutral person on site. In this case, however, it would also make sense to meet offline and distribute the Sudoku puzzles in printed form. Of course, there are no extra online aids here, but it is more sociable. We also offer printable Sudoku as PDF for this purpose.
The Sudoku competition mode allows you to share the Sudoku fun with other Sudoku fans.
